Bedford will be getting double its share of meals and rooms tax revenue as compared to years past, state Sen. Denise Ricciardi, R-Bedford, told the Town Council.
“Most of you know that, in my first term, I restored the meals and rooms revenue sharing that you were robbed of for about two decades as a broken promise,” Ricciardi told town councilors at their June 24 meeting. “This is the best thing we can do thus far for property tax relief.”
Ricciardi said local revenue sharing from the meals and rooms tax is up more than 100% since Senate Bill 99 passed.
