Sen. Ricciardi is making a lasting contribution to NH’s economy
To the Editor: I want to take this opportunity to support Denise Ricciardi’s re-election to the state Senate.
Denise is a leader who gets the job done for taxpayers rather than just empty talk and slogans.
She recognized right away that more state funding needed to go to cities and towns to help property taxpayers. So, her legislation was incorporated in the 2021 budget and now 30 percent of revenue from the Rooms and Meals Tax goes directly to every community in New Hampshire. Funding has doubled, it is annual, and also will continue to grow over time.
Denise has certainly delivered on state funding, but it’s local spending decisions that lead to higher property taxes. That’s why she supported putting a spending tax cap question on the ballot in November. She wants local voters to have a voice on the issue.
Kudos to Denise for not only delivering results for property taxpayers, but also working to keep New Hampshire income tax free.
Voters in Senate District 9 could not have a harder working and more conscientious senator than Denise Ricciardi.
